STEEL SHEET PILE WALL AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING SAME

A steel sheet pile wall formed by inserting at least two adjoining hat-shaped steel sheet piles into the ground at the boundary between a natural ground side and an excavation side.  The hat-shaped steel sheet pile is integrally provided with webs, a pair of flanges continuous with the side edges of the webs, a pair of arm sections continuous with the side edges of the pair of flanges, and a pair of joints provided to the end sections of the pair of arm sections.  The steel sheet pile wall is provided with a water stop member secured to the surface of the excavation side of the flange opposed to the adjoining hat-shaped steel sheet piles along the length direction, a first concrete fixing member secured to the surface of the excavation side of the water stop member, and a first concrete covering the first concrete fixing member.  The web is disposed on the excavation side, and the arm sections are disposed on the natural ground side.
