Abstract:
Provided is a steel sheet pile that does not negatively impact the surrounding ground, improves straightness of the steel sheet piling during driving installation, can prevent warping, falling, and the like during driving installation, and allows construction with a longer driving length than conventional methods. This U-shaped steel sheet pile (1) is characterized in that a friction reducing treatment is performed on at least the inner circumferential face of the steel sheet pile surface from the lower end position, when driving into the ground, of the steel sheet pile over a length of no less than the steel sheet pile section width (B) and no more than 1/3 of the steel sheet pile length (L).
