Abstract:
Provided are a steel sheet rolling method and a steel sheet manufacturing method that can prevent: the occurrence of external defects in steel sheets caused by coolant drips; and the occurrence of steel sheet shape defects, by appropriately controlling heat deformation of a work roll. In this steel sheet rolling method that supplies coolant to a roll constituting a rolling mill, during rolling: the amount of supplied coolant is suppressed to no more than a prescribed amount which is less than an upper normal amount, when starting operation of the rolling mill; and the amount of supplied coolant is increased to the upper normal amount if the medium elongation of the steel sheets has reached at least an upper target value.
