Abstract:
This steel sheet for a rotor iron core for an IPM motor is characterized by having: a component composition containing 0.01 exclusive-0.90% by mass of C, 0-3.0% by mass of Si, 0.05-2.5 % by mass of Mn, not more than 0.05% by mass of P, not more than 0.02% by mass of S, 0.005-3.0% by mass of acid-soluble Al, and not more than 5.0% by mass of Si + Al with the remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities; a flux density B8000 of no less than 1.75 T when the strength of a magnetic field is 8000 A/m; a residual magnetic flux density Br of more than 1.30 T after magnetization to 8000 A/m; and a maximum peak height of no more than 1.0 mm when a steel sheet or steel strip having a length of no less than 1 m is placed on a surface plate.
