Abstract:
Provided is a steel sheet for textile machinery parts, the steel sheet being capable of being manufactured inexpensively and having good abrasion resistance and toughness. The steel sheet contains, in mass%, 0.60%-1.25% of C, 0.50% or less of Si, 0.30%-1.20% of Mn, 0.03% or less of P, 0.03% or less of S, 0.30%-1.50% of Cr, 0.10%-0.50% of Nb, with the balance being obtained from Fe and unavoidable impurities. Moreover, Nb-containing carbides of at least 0.5 µm particle diameter are present in the matrix at a density of 3000/mm2 to 9000/mm2. With said steel sheet for textile machinery parts, abrasion resistance and toughness are excellent because it is possible to maintain the abrasion resistance-improving effects of Nb-containing carbides while being able to prevent reduction of toughness due to excessive formation of the Nb-containing carbides.
