Abstract:
Provided are a steel structure reinforcement method and a reinforcement body, for enabling the avoidance of such circumstances as degraded reinforcement effect from sunlight or other factors, so that sufficient reinforcement effects can be obtained, and enabling the avoidance of the peeling of a fiber sheet from the steel structure surface before rupture strength is reached; and a material for forming an elastic layer used to support the steel structure. The steel structure reinforcement method of the present invention in which a fiber sheet containing strengthening fibers is adhered to the surface of the steel structure so as to become integral therewith, includes the following steps: (a) a step for forming an elastic layer by applying a polyurethane resin paste agent on the surface of the steel structure and curing the same, and (b) a step for using an adhesive to adhere the fiber sheet to the surface of the steel structure on which the elastic layer was formed.
