Abstract:
This steering-column device is provided with a suspension mechanism that couples a first plate that is part of a fixed bracket to a second plate that is part of a movable bracket, thereby suspending a movable jacket via a tilt bracket. A resin pin that, in a secondary collision, makes the second plate separate from a given part of the first plate in a column-movement direction passes through a first hole in the first plate and a second hole in the second plate. With respect to the second hole, the resin pin has play in a direction perpendicular to the column-movement direction.
