Abstract:
An actual steering ratio, which is the interlocking relationship between steered wheels and a steering wheel, is controlled according to a set steering ratio. When a "deviation" occurs between the actual steering ratio and the set steering ratio due to an emergency avoidance movement, an amendment is made according to a corrective steering ratio so that the "deviation" decreases, whereby consistency of the interlocking relationship between the steered wheels and the steering operation of the driver is improved, and the relationship between the rotation angle of the steering wheel and the steering angle of the steered wheels is matched to prevent the driver from feeling uncomfortable.
