Abstract:
This steering control method involves: applying, to a steering wheel (31a), a steering reaction force obtained by adding a first steering reaction force (Tr1) according to a steering angle (θs) of the steering wheel (31a) and a second steering reaction force (Tr2) according to a steering angle acceleration (d2θs/dt2) of the steering wheel (31a) (S6); determining the possibility of a driver performing an emergency steering operation of the steering wheel (31a) (S2); and making, when it is determined that there is the possibility of the emergency steering operation, the second steering reaction force (Tr2) smaller than that in the case where it is not determined that there is the possibility of the emergency steering operation (S2 to S4).
