Abstract:
A steering device for a motor vehicle, where steering force of a steering shaft is assisted by a column assist-type electric power steering device, the steering force being transmitted so that wheels are steered by a steering mechanism. A telescopic shaft where a male shaft and a female shaft are relatively non-rotatably and slidably fitted to each other is interposed between an output shaft of the column assist-type electric power steering device and an input shaft of the steering mechanism.
