Abstract:
In the present invention, an impact absorption device is provided with: an impact absorption plate that is provided integrally with a second column tube and that is for absorbing impact energy; and a pressing member that is provided integrally with a first column tube and that generates deformation resistance by pressing and causing the deformation of the impact absorption plate. In the impact absorption plate, a guide hole is formed that extends in the axial direction of a steering shaft, and in the first column tube, a guide is integrally provided that moves relatively along the guide hole during relative motion in the axial direction of the first column tube and second column tube.
