Abstract:
This steering device includes a suspension mechanism that suspends an upper jacket via a movable bracket by coupling a first plate of a fixed bracket and a second plate of the movable bracket. A resin pin of a coupling/separating mechanism, which separates the second plate from the predetermined position of the first plate in the direction in which the column moves in the event of a secondary collision, is inserted into a first hole of the first plate and a second hole of the second plate. The resin pin has a margin of play with respect to at least one of the first hole and the second hole in relation to a direction orthogonal to said direction in which the column moves.
