Abstract:
A steering device according to an aspect of the present disclosure comprises a pipe, a housing, a telescopic mechanism, and a load absorbing mechanism. The load absorbing mechanism is provided in the telescopic mechanism, and comprises: an extended portion extending along a front-back direction; a first sliding unit provided on a first side in a left-right direction with respect to the extended portion; and a second sliding unit provided on a second side in the left-right direction with respect to the extended portion. The sliding units each comprise a front side pressing portion in contact with a lateral face of the extended portion, and a rear side pressing portion of which, to the rear of the front side pressing portion, the distance in the left-right direction from one sliding unit facing the other sliding unit across the extended portion is smaller than the distance in the left-right direction between the front side pressing portion and the one sliding unit.
