Abstract:
A steering wheel device, a method of operating the steering wheel device, and a controller using the steering wheel device. In the steering wheel device (100) of the steering wheel controller, a steering wheel (10) is rotated counterclockwise by any angle, and an angle set button (14) is pressed. A rotating shaft (15) is rotated counterclockwise according to the rotation of the steering wheel (10) to move a ball screw (25) and a guide plate (26) to a nut (28) side by a prescribed distance. A rotary encoder (37) generates pulse signals according to the rotating angle of the steering wheel (10) and outputs the pulse signals to a control board (38). The control board (38) detects the rotating angle of the steering wheel (10) based on the pulse signals, and uses a rotating angle obtained by doubling the detected rotating angle as the rotating angle of the steering wheel. Then, the control board (38) moves the nuts (28, 29) in the direction of the guide plate (26) by controlling a motor (35) until the nut (28) touches the guide plate (26).
