Abstract:
A stent with impenetrable grooves or blind holes and a method for manufacturing the stent are provided. The stent comprises straight main struts (2) and U-shaped connecting struts for linking the main struts (3). Impenetrable grooves (1) or blind holes are provided on the outer surfaces of the middle parts of the main struts. The grooves or blind holes are coated with therapeutic substances.
