Abstract:
[Problem]
To prevent damage to a workpiece during step-bending with a step-bending die that is interposed between a die and punch and changes the relative positions of the die and punch to introduce a step into the workpiece.
[Solution]
A step-bending die for introducing a step into a workpiece W, wherein the die 2 is configured so as to have a horizontal surface 5 and a slanted surface 6, a semicircular groove 8 having a semicircular cross section being formed in the longitudinal direction of the horizontal surface 5, and a semicircular rotary blade 9 being accommodated within the semicircular groove 8 so as to be capable of rotating freely, and the punch 3 is configured so as to have a horizontal surface 25 and a slanted surface 26, a semicircular groove 28 having a semicircular cross section being formed in the longitudinal direction in the horizontal surface 25, and a semicircular rotary blade 29 being accommodated within the semicircular groove 28 so as to be capable of rotating freely. In the die 2 and the punch 3 vertical notches 15 and 35 communicating respectively with the semicircular grooves 8 and 28 are formed in the longitudinal direction at the positions where the horizontal surfaces 5 and 25 change to the slanted surfaces 6 and 26, thereby creating apex portions 16 and 36. The punch 3 is assembled with respect to the die 2 such that the horizontal surface 25 of the punch 3 faces the slanted surface 6 of the die 2 and the slanted surface 26 of the punch 3 faces the horizontal surface 5 of the die 2.
