Abstract:

The step-by-step mechanism for an adjusting device of a vehicle seat comprises a hand-operated lever (54) which is mounted so as to be swivelable about a lever axis (55), a setting wheel (46) which has a toothed portion, c) two structurally identical catches (66), each mounted on the hand-operated lever (54) so as to be swivelable about a catch axis (61) and each having at least one catch tooth (66), and d) a spring (80) which biases the hand lever (54) to a zero position. Each catch (60) has a nose (68) with a stop flange (69) which is contact with a tooth of the toothed portion in the maximum swivel position of the hand-operated lever (54) and restricts a further swiveling of the hand-operated lever (54).
