Abstract:
Provided are a step seal, a seal structure, a turbomachine, and a method for producing a step seal with which an excellent leak-preventing effect can be achieved stably and leak loss in a turbomachine can be reduced stably. Disclosed is a step seal (5) that prevents fluid (SL) from leaking from a gap (Gd) between a first structure (51) and a second structure (10) which oppose one another in the radial direction (R) with said gap (Gd) therebetween and which rotate relatively about an axis. The step seal (5) is provided to the first structure (10) with a clearance (m) from a seal fin (6) provided to the second structure (10), and comprises: a step seal body including a step surface (511) that faces toward the upstream side in the flowing direction of the fluid (SL), and an opposing surface (512) that faces toward the second structure (10); and a projection (513) formed between the step surface (511) and the opposing surface (512).
