Abstract:

In a stepper motor driver, a rotation detector unit determines whether the stepper motor is rotating. When the rotation detector unit detects the stepper motor at a stop, the control unit operates to increase the effective driving power and then decrease it at regular time intervals. When a field detection unit detects a magnetic field, the control unit suspends decreasing the effective driving power.
