Abstract:
In order to implement robust self-calibration for the recognition error of corresponding point positions in a stereo camera system, self-calibration is performed by extracting a region in which only an object at infinity is present from at least one image of a set of images respectively captured by a plurality of cameras, detecting corresponding points in the region as infinite corresponding points and the other corresponding points therein as general corresponding points, identifying the relative postures of the respective cameras using the infinite corresponding points, and identifying the relative positions of the respective cameras using the identified relative postures and the general corresponding points.
