Abstract:
Provided is a stereo imaging device capable of detecting an object to be detected with high precision while imaging a wide area. The stereo imaging device 1 is provided with: imaging units 5 each equipped with a lens 3, which has a low-distortion region where distortion is less than a predetermined amount and a high-distortion region where distortion is greater than that of the low-distortion region, and an image sensor; a cropping means 7 for, when an object to be detected is present in regions photographed through the low-distortion regions within images photographed by the one pair of imaging units 5, outputting cropped images obtained by cropping areas included in the regions photographed through the low-distortion regions and containing the object to be detected; and a detection means 8 for performing detection of the object to be detected on the basis of the cropped images.
