Abstract:
A stereoscopic endoscope system includes a stereoscopic endoscope (1) and an identification information synthesis unit (2). The stereoscopic endoscope (1) has an R imaging unit (12r) and R output unit (15r) provided on a right side of an endoscope body (11), an L imaging unit (12l) and L output unit (15l) provided on a left side of the endoscope body (11), and an R memory (14r) and L memory (14l) for storing correction information and identification information for either left or right. The left and right imaging units and the left and right memory are correctly or erroneously combined and connected to the left and right output units. The identification information synthesis unit (2) performs image synthesis and output of identification information and an image inputted from the R output unit (15r) or identification information and an image inputted from the L output unit (15l).
