Abstract:
A stereoscopic endoscope (1) comprises an insertion unit (10), a left-side imaging unit (21L) which includes imaging optics (25L) and an imaging element (27L), a right-side imaging unit (21R) which includes imaging optics (25R) and an imaging element (27R), a housing unit (31L) for housing the left-side imaging unit (21L), and a housing unit (31R) for housing the right-side imaging unit (21R). The stereoscopic endoscope (1) additionally comprises a main unit (12) which is disposed upon a tip portion (10a) side of the insertion unit (10), which supports the housing units (31L and 31R) in an inclined state with respect to the longitudinal direction so that the inclination of the left-side optical axis (211L) with respect to the longitudinal direction of the insertion unit (10), the inclination of the right-side optical axis (211R) with respect to the longitudinal direction, the rotation angle of the left-side imaging unit (21L) about the left-side optical axis (211L), and the rotation angle of the right-side imaging unit (21R) about the right-side optical axis (211R) are adjustable.
