Abstract:
In the present invention, using a stereoscopic image display device (10) wherein a plurality of cubic corner bodies (12) are arranged side by side on a plane with the axial centers of the cubic corner bodies (12) kept parallel to each other, the plurality of cubic corner bodies having three reflection surfaces (17 - 19) at right angles to one another with an exit (11a) for reflected light provided on the corner sides of the three reflection surfaces (17 - 19), and a half mirror (14) is arranged on the light incident surface of the cubic corner bodies (12), an image is formed by making light from an object (26) enter the cubic corner bodies (12) through the light incident surface so as to be retroreflected in the cubic corner bodies (12), and then making the retroreflected light be reflected on the half mirror (14) so as to be emitted outside through the exit (11a) for reflected light. Thereby, a stereoscopic image, that is the real image of the object, can be viewed from in front of the stereoscopic image display device (10).
