Abstract:
Provided are a stereoscopic image display device and a stereoscopic image display system, with which crosstalk is reduced and aperture ratio deterioration is alleviated. A stereoscopic image display device comprises at least an image display panel, and a pattern phase difference plate which is positioned on a visual recognition side of the image display panel. The display panel further comprises at least left-eye and right-eye pixels alternately positioned every nth pixel, and a black matrix positioned between each pixel. The pattern phase difference plate further comprises at least: a support body, first and second phase difference regions having patterns which are positioned in alternating stripe shapes thereupon at a prescribed pitch width, and with respectively different in-screen slow axis directions, etc.; and a pattern photo-anisotropy layer having a boundary part between the first and second phase difference regions. The pitch width of the first and second phase difference regions is n times the width of each pixel. The width of the black matrix which is positioned in a location corresponding to the boundary part is greater than the width of the black matrix which is positioned in a location corresponding to other than the boundary part.
