Abstract:
A sterilization apparatus for a water purifier of the present invention comprises: a water tank having an inflow hole formed at a center thereof and a draining hole formed at a side of the inflow hole; a fixing unit which is provided at a lower surface of the water tank and in which an outlet hole connected to the draining hole is formed in a vertical direction of a center of the inside thereof and a branch hole is connected to the outlet hole in a circumferential direction thereof; a sterilization unit in which a sterilization lamp inserted in a vertical direction of the outlet hole of the fixing unit is disposed in an inner space of the water tank and a terminal part integrated with the sterilization lamp is combined with an end of a lower entrance of the outlet hole to sterilize the water introduced into an isolated space between the sterilization lamp and an inner circumference of the outlet hole and to drain the sterilized water; and a flow induction unit which is supported by a top end of the outlet hole and is combined with the inside of the isolated space to divide the isolated space into one or more spaces and to increase an exposure time of the water to ultraviolet rays radiated from the sterilization unit by inducing a plurality of zigzag flows of the water when the water is introduced into the outlet hole flows in the branch hole.
