Abstract:
Provided are a sterilization device and a sterilization method that do not require that the weight of a sterilization liquid be measured exactly. A sterilization device that has: an atomization unit that atomizes a sterilization liquid that includes an active component; a supply unit that supplies sterilization liquid that has been atomized by the atomization unit to a space to be sterilized; and a relative humidity measurement part that measures the relative humidity inside the space to be sterilized. Supply of the sterilization liquid is controlled such that the sterilization liquid is supplied to the space to be sterilized until the relative humidity is at or above a set value and then such that the sterilization liquid is supplied to the space to be sterilized in accordance with the degree to which the inside of the space to be sterilized has been sterilized.
