Abstract:
A sterilization device 10 is provided with: a treatment chamber 48 which has a discharge valve 44 disposed on the downstream side thereof; a light source (optical element 20) which shines ultraviolet light onto a fluid temporarily retained inside the treatment chamber 48; and a heat exchange chamber 46 connected to the upstream side of the treatment chamber 48 by means of a gate valve 42. The heat exchange chamber 46 is thermally connected to the light source. The sterilization device 10 may also be provided with a heat pipe 24 which thermally connects the heat exchange chamber 46 to the light source. The heat pipe 24 may also extend in the vertical direction from the light source towards the heat exchange chamber 46.
