Abstract:
A sterilization device 10 is provided with: a treatment chamber 40 in which a baffle plate 36 is provided in an entrance 30, and a fluid passing through the baffle plate 36 flows in a first direction; and a plurality of light-emitting elements 12 for radiating ultraviolet light to the fluid in the treatment chamber 40, the light-emitting elements 12 being disposed in an array facing the baffle plate 36 in the first direction with the treatment chamber 40 therebetween. The sterilization device 10 may be further provided with and optical element (rod lens 16) for converting the ultraviolet light emitted by the plurality of light-emitting elements 12 into parallel light proceeding in the first direction.
