Abstract:
The invention relates to a stimulation device (1) for stimulating at least one cutaneous nerve in the head and/or neck area of a human, especially of the auricular branch of the vagus nerve and especially of its trunk or trunks, regarding its path from the cutaneous receptive fields to where it joins the brain stem. The stimulation device (1) comprises at least one stimulation element (2) which can be maintained in position by means of holding elements (3) that can be attached to the head (K) of the human, in such a manner that a stimulation surface (4) of the stimulation element (2) rests on or against the trunk of the nerve, thereby allowing efficient stimulation of the nerve.
