Abstract:
This hot/cold stimulus system is provided with: a hot/cold stimulus device for supplying a subject with a hot stimulus and a cold stimulus; a stimulus control unit (S13) for controlling the operation of the hot/cold stimulus device so that a hot stimulus period, in which the hot stimulus is supplied, and a cold stimulus period, in which the cold stimulus is supplied, are alternately repeated in cycles, one cycle corresponding to the sum of the hot stimulus period and the cold stimulus period; and a hot/cold ratio determining unit (S12) for determining a hot/cold ratio which is the ratio between the hot stimulus period and the cold stimulus period in one cycle. The stimulus control unit causes the hot/cold stimulus device to operate such that the hot stimulus period and the cold stimulus period are alternately repeated at the hot/cold ratio determined by the hot/cold ratio determining unit. The hot/cold ratio determined by the hot/cold ratio determining unit includes a first ratio and a second ratio which are different from each other. The hot/cold ratio determining unit determines the hot/cold ratio so that one cycle in the case of the first ratio and one cycle in the case of the second ratio become substantially the same time.
