Abstract:
One end of a displacer cylinder (2m), having a working gas (G) and a movable displacer piston (2mp) built in, is heated by a heater (3) and the other end of the displacer cylinder (2m) is cooled by a cooler (4). The displacer piston (2mp) is reciprocally driven by driving and controlling a displacer driving actuator (5m), a power piston (6p) built into a power cylinder (6) is moved by operating the working gas (G) in the displacer cylinder (2m), and a piston rod (6po) of the power piston (6p) is made to act upon the output unit (7). The displacer piston (2mp) is controlled and switched to a heating-side maximum volume position (Xmh), maximizing the volume of the heating-side, or to a cooling-side maximum volume position (Xmc), maximizing the volume of the cooling-side, in the displacer cylinder (2m) by imparting a position switch control signal (Smc) that is a pulse signal to the drive actuator (5m).
