Description:
Description A Stirring Rod Coated with Powdered Drink Technical Field

The invention relates to stirring rods.

The invention particularly relates to stirring rods which provide a practical use without the need for any other element apart from the beverage itself and beverage container thanks to comprising thereon powdered drinks, e.g. powdered fruit drinks, coffee mixtures, coated using certain methods; which prevent waste; and which are more hygienic and easy to use, with the same amount and quality being provided in each use. State of the Art

Powdered drinks, which are becoming more and more common, are products that provide advantages in terms of easy access and a wide are of use for the users. Instant coffee mixtures, which have especially become more common recently, may be given as an example. In current applications, drinks in powder form and stirring tools including spoons, rods, etc. used for stirring them are provided separately. In addition, by-products such as powdered drinks and sugar are generally available in packages with large amounts in the market. Therefore, the amount of the powdered drink to be used is adjusted by rule of thumb without precise amounts, or in standard measures, which will not appeal to customers from different ranks of society. Moreover, since a long time is required for consuming the products in packages with large amounts, the powdered drink therein cannot be preserved in fresh, hygienic, and quality form for such a long time. Furthermore, by-products such as sugars, which are used in beverages in public places like cafes, tea houses, restaurants, etc. are served in a container, leading to a serious risk in terms of hygiene since everybody touches them to take one.

In order to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages, the utility model No. 201 1 00331 titled "Single-use Powder Drink Package Comprising a Stirring Rod" and the Japanese Patent No. JP2000083787 titled "Powder Drink Stirrer" have been developed. These documents contain the powdered drink product and stirrer in a single package. However, their production processes are complicated, and thus high-cost. Additionally, there exist a risk of wasting the product while opening the package. Also, the powder adhering to the package and to the rod may also be wasted. The use of said packages require performing various movements serially, and thus causes loss of time.

As a result, the need for stirring rods which provide a practical use without the need for any other element apart from the beverage itself and beverage container thanks to comprising thereon powdered drinks, e.g. powdered fruit drinks, coffee mixtures, coated using certain methods; which prevent waste; and which are more hygienic and easy to use, with the same amount and quality being provided in each use, as well as the inefficiency of the existing solutions, has made it compulsory to make a development in the related technical field.

Objects of the Invention

The present invention relates to stirring rods which will meet the needs mentioned above, eliminate all the disadvantages, and offer additional advantages.

The primary object of the stirring rod according to the invention is to be provided thereon with the powdered drink to be used/mixed in a coated/adhered form obtained using various methods. Hence, the only thing to be done for preparing the powdered drink for drinking is to dip the stirrer into the beverage within the container and stir/mix the liquid therein. Since the whole product is adhered onto the rod, there remains no risk of wasting it. Because the product contains a single- use amount, the packages with large amounts will no longer be necessary. This, in turn, preserves freshness, hygiene, and quality of the product. Another advantage is to provide a standardized amount. In addition to these, the product is healthier since nobody will contact therewith until the end user.

Another object of the invention is to produce the stirring rod of natural wood, or of plastic or other materials in compliance with food regulations. The effects of the rod that may be harmful to the health are thus minimized. In general, in order to achieve the aforementioned objects, the invention comprises a body having a suitable for stirring and powdered drink adhered/coated onto said body using several methods.

The structural and distinctive characteristics and all advantages of the invention will be better understood with the figures below and the detailed description written by referring to these figures; therefore, the invention should be evaluated taking these figures and the detailed description into account. Figures for a Better Understanding of the Invention

In order for the embodiment of the invention and the advantages thereof together with additional components to be better understood, the below explained figures should be taken into account while making evaluation.

Fig. 1 : The perspective view of the stirring rod according to the invention.

Fig. 2: The cross-sectional view of the stirring rod according to the invention. The drawings do not necessarily need to be scaled and the details that are not necessary to understand the present invention may have been ignored. Apart from that, the elements that are at least substantially identical or have at least substantially identical functions are referred with the same numeral. Reference Numerals

2.1 Gripping end

2.2 Adhesion end

3 Powdered drink

Detailed Description of the Invention In this detailed description, the stirring rod (1 ) according to the invention will be explained only for a better understanding of the invention, without any limitation.

In Figs. 1 and 2, perspective and cross-sectional views of the stirring rod (1 ) according to the invention are shown, respectively. The general configuration is formed by the body (2), which has a form suitable for stirring. The body (2) consists of two parts; gripping end (2.1 ) and adhesion end (2.2). The adhesion end (2.2) is the part to which powdered drink (3) is adhered/coated after being prepared using certain methods. The gripping end (2.1 ), on the other hand, is the bare, i.e. uncoated, part of the body, whereby the consumer can easily grip the stirring rod (1 ).

Production: The powdered drink (3) is used by fixating all types of foods made into powder form and obtained by natural means (sugar, coffee, powdered fruit drinks, salep (a drink made from salep root in hot milk and cinnamon), fruit powders, medicinal herb powders, etc.) around the adhesion end (2.2) at certain amounts using various methods. After the powdered drink (3) is fixated by processes like pressing, coating, etc., it is made into final product by removing the moist therein in an oven, or by natural means, at certain proportions. Usage: The stirring rod (1 ) having the powdered drink (3) thereon can be introduced in separate packages or in a single box comprising multiple products. The access to the product is achieved by opening the box or single-use package just before use. Afterwards, the adhesion end (2.2) having the powdered drink (3) thereon is dipped into the container which contains hot water, milk, etc., by taking the product from the gripping end (2.1 ). Later, the stirring rod (1 ) is stirred inside the container until the powdered drink (3) completely melts. Once the powdered drink (3) melts, the beverage is ready for consumption.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the stirring rod (10) can be made of natural wood, or of plastic or other materials in compliance with food regulations.
