Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/172247
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide a stitched reinforcing fiber base material that can inhibit the formation of micro-cracks in fiber reinforced composite materials. A stitched reinforcing fiber base material according to the present invention is formed by using stitching thread to stitch reinforcing fiber sheets formed from reinforcing fibers, the stitching thread having a polar group-containing organic compound adhered thereto. The polar group-containing organic compound is preferably a compound having a polyoxyalkylene skeleton and is preferably a compound having an epoxy group. The amount of the polar group-containing organic compound adhered to the stitching thread is preferably 0.1-10wt% with respect to the mass of the stitching thread.
