Abstract:
The invention relates to a stitcher comprising a transport cylinder (03) and a stitching cylinder (01) which together define a gap (06). The transport cylinder (03) comprises at least one holding device (09) for holding a printed product (04) on the transport cylinder (03) and for transporting the printed product (04) through the gap (06). The stitching cylinder (01) comprises a stitching head (02) for placing a wire stitch in a pre-determined position on the printed product (04) when it passes through the gap (06). An elastic pressing device (11) is provided in order to exert a force of pressure on the printed product (04), said force of pressure being directed towards the transport cylinder (03).
