Abstract:
The present invention improves the performance of responding to a write access to a storage device. A storage access control device 30 is provided with: a formatting execution unit 31 for executing a formatting process on at least one of physical storage areas in a storage device 40 before the same are allocated as logical storage areas; a storage unit 32 for storing area management information 320 that indicates, as pertains to the state of each of the individual physical storage areas, whether or not allocation as a logical storage area has been completed and whether or not the formatting process has been executed; an allocation control unit 33 which, upon the occurrence of an access to a logical storage area to which none of the physical storage areas has been allocated, allocates, as the logical storage area, a physical storage area that has not yet been allocated as a logical storage area and that has undergone the formatting process; and an update unit 34 for updating the area management information 320 in accordance with processes carried out by the formatting execution unit 31 and the allocation control unit 33.
