Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides a storage battery device having high reliability. The storage battery device according to the embodiment is provided with: electromagnetic contacts CN2, CN3 which are connected in parallel to each other, and by which electrical connection between a high-potential side terminal of a battery pack BT and a main circuit is switched; a resistor R which is connected in series to the electromagnetic contact CN2, and is connected in parallel to the electromagnetic contact CN3; and a battery management circuit 2 which can communicate with the plurality of battery monitoring circuits 3 and an external device, and controls the operation of the electromagnetic contact CN2 and the operation of the electromagnetic contact CN3. The battery management circuit 2 receives, from the external device, information as to the voltage of the main circuit and as to whether or not the main circuit is electrically connected to a battery charger CH, receives the voltages of a plurality of battery cells respectively from the plurality of battery monitoring circuits 3, and calculates a unit voltage by summing the received voltages of the plurality of battery cells. When the main circuit is electrically connected to the battery charger CH and the voltage of the main circuit is greater than the unit voltage, the battery management circuit 2 opens the contact point of the electromagnetic contact CN2 and closes the contact point of the electromagnetic contact CN3.
