Abstract:
The present invention relates to a storage box used to load a plurality of battery cells that supply electric power to an electric propulsion vessel, the storage box having the shape of a container that is configured so as to make it possible to rapidly cope with fires that occur in the battery cells. The storage box for loading battery cells according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a storage box in the shape of a container having a door on a side surface, one or more inlets in the upper portion, and one or more outlets in the lower portion; one or more shelf parts provided inside the storage box to store a plurality of the battery cells; a terminal block which is installed together with the one or more shelf parts and includes a plurality of terminals each connected to one of the battery cells; one or more fire detectors installed inside the storage box and detecting fires that occur inside the storage box; spray parts which are connected to the outside via the inlets and respectively installed above the one or more shelf parts, and spray fire extinguishing water downward when fires occur; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the spray parts in response to signals of the fire detectors.
