Abstract:
According to the present invention, a storage device: allocates a first logical device to a logical storage region; provides, as a first virtual storage region, a first logical unit associated with the first logical device; generates a duplicate of the first virtual storage region as a second virtual storage region; sets the second virtual storage region as a read-only region and allocates a second logical unit to the set second virtual storage region when generating a duplicate of the second virtual storage region as a third virtual storage region; sets logical unit management information so that an access request for the second logical unit is transferred to the first virtual storage region; generates, in said logical storage region, a duplicate of the first logical device as a third logical device; and provides, as a third virtual storage region, a third logical unit associated with the third logical device.
