Abstract:
A storage device according to the present invention comprises: a storage compartment in which meat is stored; a cooling unit that cools the storage compartment; a temperature detection unit that detects the temperature of the storage compartment; and a control unit that controls the temperature of the storage compartment. The control unit varies the temperature of the storage compartment between a first temperature band and a second temperature band. In the first temperature band, the freezing ratio, which is the proportion of moisture that is frozen in the cells of the meat, is 46 ±20%. In the second temperature band, the freezing ratio is 80 ±10%. The flavor, softness, and juiciness of the meat is thereby increased.
