Abstract:

A storage hopper which can achieve higher speed processing in addition to suppressing trailing of an article discharged from the storage hopper regardless of the properties or the like of the article. The storage hopper (3) temporarily stores articles supplied from above and then discharges the articles downward. The storage hopper (3) is provided, at the storing section, with the holding member (64) of an article holding alteration mechanism (60). The holding member (64) alters the holding state of an article at the storing section depending on the state of the article.
