Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to mitigate a decrease in response when storing content in a flash memory. This storage management device comprises a flash memory including a plurality of blocks, each including a reservation area and a normal area. When a writable area in the normal areas of the plurality of blocks is larger than a new dataset and smaller than a writable area in the normal areas of the plurality of blocks which can be obtained by deleting an unnecessary dataset contained in the plurality of blocks, the storage management device acquires the new dataset, copies a necessary dataset from the normal area of the block containing the unnecessary dataset to the normal area of another block, deletes all the datasets contained in the normal area of the block, and stores the new dataset in the normal area of the block from which all the datasets have been deleted.
