Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to contribute to improving response performance. For this purpose, a storage system of the present invention comprises a control device and a memory device connected via an interconnected network to the control device. The memory device is provided with a data memory unit for storing data, and a comparison write unit for executing a comparison write process that compares first data designated by the control device and second data stored by the data memory unit in a predetermined region thereof, and that determines in accordance with the comparison results whether or not data has been updated in the predetermined region. The control device is provided with a read command issuance unit for issuing a read command to the memory device, a write buffer memory unit for retaining data that has been read on the basis of the read command, and a comparison write command unit for designating, as the first data, data that has been written onto the write buffer memory unit, and instructing the memory device to execute the comparison write process in the form of a comparison write command.
