Abstract:
The present invention provides a storage system capable of performing deduplication between cluster configuration nodes with low overhead. For this purpose, each node monitors each other to see whether deduplication information of the other node is updated. When one node determines that there is an update in the other node, the one node has information about the update in the other node reflected in the deduplication information of the one node. Then, by using the deduplication information in which deduplication information in the other node is reflected, each node performs deduplication of data stored in the respective node.
