Abstract:
This storage system includes a second NAS storage device and a third NAS storage device for moving the objects managed by a first NAS storage device. The second NAS storage device includes a processor and a storage medium capable of storing data. For an object which have begun to be moved from the first NAS storage device, the processor of the second NAS storage device includes the path information for the object in the first NAS storage device in object management information and stores this information in the storage medium before the entity of the object is moved to the third NAS storage device. Furthermore, after the entity of the object has been received from the first NAS storage device and moved to the third NAS storage device, the processor stores, in the object management information, the path information for the entity of the object in the third NAS storage device, thereby implementing the management information in the third NAS storage device.
