Abstract:
Provided is low cost, storage type seating that uses a simple configuration. Storage type seating (1) comprises a plurality of chairs (10), a multilevel floor platform (20) on which the chairs (10) are fixed, and a back drive mechanism (30). The chairs (10) have backs (11) and seats (12). The back drive mechanism (30) comprises: a pair of back drive units (31) that are affixed to the inside of the back (11); a main shaft (32) that serves as the pivot to support rotation of the back drive unit (31); a pair of back rotary members (33) that allow the back drive units (31) to rotate; a primary rotational member (34) that allows the back rotary members (33) to rotate; a shaft (35) that allows the main rotational member (34) to rotate; an actuator (40) that drives the shaft (35); and a support member (50) that supports the back rotary member (33) from underneath. Movement of the back (11) to a usage position and a storage position by the back drive mechanism (30) is allowed, and the floor platform (20) is stabilized by the support provided by the support member (50) and a second end (33b) of the back rotary member (33) of the back drive mechanism (30).
