Abstract:
This storage-type water heater (1A) is provided with: a storage tank (2) having a cylindrical body part (2a) and an upper mirror plate (2b) that covers the upper opening of the body part (2a); a housing (3) that stores the storage tank (2); and a heat insulation material set (4A) arranged between the outer surface of the storage tank (2) and the inner surface of the housing (3). The heat insulation material set (4A) includes: an inner upper heat insulation material (5) that at least partially covers the upper mirror plate (2b); and an outer upper heat insulation material (6) that at least partially covers the outside of the inner upper heat insulation material (5). The inner upper heat insulation material (5) is made of foamed plastic. The inner upper heat insulation material (5) has a lower thermal conductivity than the outer upper heat insulation material (6). The outer upper heat insulation material (6) has an outer surface that is in contact with the inner surface of the housing (3). The outer upper heat insulation material (6) has a lower compressive elastic modulus than the inner upper heat insulation material (5).
