Abstract:
First position information denoting the positions of proximate persons approaching an item of merchandise is acquired. Second position information is detected, which denotes the position of one of the proximate persons who has extended an arm toward the item of merchandise, and the action relative to the item of merchandise is detected. The ID of a person corresponding to the person having carried out the detected action is identified on the basis of a positional relation between the first position information and the second position information.
