Abstract:
A stowable seat (1) for a vehicle is provided with a seat cushion (2), a seat back (3), a vertical shaft (16) which is provided at a position close to a side wall (7) of the vehicle, and a base frame (18) which supports the seat cushion (2) so that the seat cushion (2) is capable of being flipped up relative to the seat back (3) and which, in a use state, supports the seat back (3) so that the seat back (3) is capable of pivoting in the front-rear direction. The base frame (18) is rotatably supported relative to the side wall so that the base frame (18) is capable of horizontally rotating about the vertical shaft (16) from a position for the use state in which the base frame (18) substantially horizontally extends in the left-right direction (IN, OUT) of the vehicle to a position for a stowed state in which the base frame (18) substantially horizontally extends in the front-rear direction (FR, RR) of the vehicle.
