Abstract:
A straddled vehicle (1) has a front wheel (2), a rear wheel (3), a seat (4), a mode selection means (5) through which creep mode or running mode can be selected, a control device (6), and a power unit (100). The power unit (100) has a prime mover (110), a centrifugal clutch and/or an electronic control clutch (120), and a transmission device (130). The control device (6) performs creep control in creep mode when creep mode is selected through the mode selection means (5) and no operation input is being made on an accelerator manipulator (7). In the creep control, the control device (6) (i) automatically controls the output of the prime mover (110), and (ii) controls the transmission device (130) such that the degree of change in the transmission gear ratio in creep mode is lower than the degree of change in the transmission gear ratio in drive mode with respect to the same vehicle speed change, and/or such that the transmission gear ratio in creep mode is smaller than the transmission gear ratio in drive mode with respect to the same vehicle speed.
